The central government is likely to stick to its fiscal glide path and target a fiscal deficit of less than six per cent of GDP for 2023-24, reported Bloomberg. It may narrow its budget deficit by at least 50 basis points in next fiscal. The fiscal deficit for 2022-2023 has been pegged at 6.4 per cent of GDP.
