Panel formed to revamp MGNREGA

The central government has set up a panel to revamp the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee scheme (MGNREGS), reported Economic Times. The panel would suggest institutional mechanisms including governance and administrative structures and review expenditure trends across various states and identify reasons for variations. It is expected to submit its report by January 2023.
