Indian rupee holding really well: FM

According to Finance Minister (FM) Nirmala Sitharaman, the Indian rupee is holding out really well. The rate of fall of the rupee to USD is not as sharp as other currencies to the dollar. She further stated that in the current situation, Reserve Bank of India (RBI)’s intervention is more towards avoiding fluctuation in currency and not fixing the exchange rate. Sitharaman also mentioned that the fall in rupee, amid indications of global recession and fall in demand, may or may not help exports.
