India’s outward foreign direct investment (FDI) nearly halved to USD 3.4 billion in April 2022 on an annual basis, data released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) showed. The outward FDI stood at USD 6.7 billion in April 2021. On sequential basis too, the outward FDI from India in April was lower compared to USD 3.44 billion in March 2022. The equity component in April 2022 was USD 544.9 million and loans amounted to USD 764.3 million.
