Over 99% Indian CEOs bullish on economic growth: PwC survey

More than 99 per cent chief executive officers (CEOs) in India are optimistic about India’s growth story in the next 12 months, showed findings of PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)’s annual global CEO survey. The survey polled 4,446 CEOs in 89 countries and territories between October and November 2021, including 77 Indian chief executives. Around 94 per cent of Indian CEOs are optimistic about global growth improving over the next one year as compared to 77 per cent of global CEOs. On threats to the top line, 89 per cent of the Indian CEOs cited health as one of the biggest risks to the top-line growth, while 77 per cent are worried about geopolitical conflicts and cyber security risks. When it comes to the revenue prospects of their own companies, 98 per cent CEOs remain optimistic. Data from the survey also showed that CEOs globally are at least as optimistic as they were last year about growth prospects for their economies, the optimism of Indian CEOs is at 94 per cent, up from 88 per cent last year.
