To finance Centre’s Covid expenses and additional spend on reviving the economy, most experts have shown preference for raising funds through bonds as compared to imposition of new taxes or cess, as per a report in Business Standard. However, experts cautioned that the amount raised through these bonds would not be high since domestic borrowing will exert pressure on yields.
