Forex reserves decline during week ended 10 February 2017

Reserves stand at USD 362.8 billlion

Forex reserves declined by USD 360.9 million to USD 362.8 billion during the week-ended 10 February 2017. Forex reserves fell on account of decline in three of its four components. Foreign currency assets, the largest component, fell by USD 347.1 million to USD 339.8 billion. SDR fell by USD 5.3 million to USD 1.4 billion and India’s reserve position at IMF declined by USD 8.5 million to USD 2.3 billion. On the other hand, gold reserves remained unchanged from week-ago levels at USD 19.2 billion.
